Pattern detection is how a pile of interests becomes a map.
This page tracks the themes that keep showing up across rabbit holes.
The point is not to prove that every interest matters equally. The point is to notice what keeps returning.
Current Patterns
- Attention: what keeps pulling focus back.
- Novelty: what makes a topic feel alive enough to follow.
- Identity: what a topic asks you to become or admit.
- Project cycles: how a spark turns into a start, pause, return, or bridge.
- Skill stacking: what one field teaches that becomes useful somewhere else.
- Avoidance: what looks like curiosity but might be escape.
- Creative pressure: the urge to make the connection visible.
How To Use This
When a rabbit hole starts feeling scattered, ask:
- What pattern is repeating?
- Have I seen this shape before?
- Is this still a spark, or has it become a thread?
- Is this becoming a project?
- What would help me return later?
Return Point
- Where I started: a pile of interests that looked disconnected.
- Why this mattered: repeated themes reveal the real rabbit hole.
- What I learned so far: attention, novelty, identity, project cycles, skill stacking, avoidance, and creative pressure are the first patterns to watch.
- Where to pick back up: choose one repeated pattern and open the note it keeps pointing toward.
